(KRON) — A new round of Tesla layoffs is set to impact hundreds of
employees including two high-level executives, according to reports. In an
email from Musk obtained by The Information, the Tesla CEO said Rebecca
Tinucci, executive director of Tesla’s Supercharger group and Daniel Ho,
head of new products, would be leaving the company as of Tuesday morning.

“We need to be absolutely hard core about headcount and cost reduction,”
Musk reportedly wrote in an email to staff Monday morning. According to a
separate report in Electrek, Tesla is laying off its entire Supercharging
team and the executive responsible for negotiating nationwide North
American Charging Standard (NACS) adoption.

Kaiser Permanente notifies millions of members about data breach
There are 500 employees that are part of the Supercharging team, according
to Electrek. While most are expected to be impacted by the layoffs, a few
will reportedly be reassigned to other teams, according to The
Information.

Tesla has also reportedly disbanded its public policy team as part of the
latest layoffs. These latest reported layoffs follow another earlier round
of layoffs this year in which Tesla cut its global workforce by about 10%.
Those layoffs impacted about 2,700 Bay Area employees.

Tesla has faced financial headwinds of late with declining sales and Q1
financial results that fell short of expectations.

Good. My Tesla stock should improve now after dumping the DEI hires.
