Disney Brought It On Themselves

PermalinkMy parents were visiting me here in kissimmee for a week so I wanted to do
something special with them. My husband and I decided to take them to
dinner and a movie. Lord was it a mistake after paying over $200 for meal
and tickets for 5 people I am disgusted by the way we were treated! First
off let me state that I understand policy and fully support a company with
rules and policy. My mother asked for a margarita and not thinking about
her ID she had left it at home. My mother has full white hair and you can
tell she didn't just turn 21 yesterday. While she has aged gracefully you
can't still see the age in her face. The waitress tells her no you cannot
have a margarita. When asked why not all the waitress could say was I will
get fired I will get fired. She repeated this over and over again without
ever stating a policy. So we order our food, finally get it and it's cold
someone else delivered the food, not the waitress. I waited 15 minutes
after the movie to find the waitress to get my receipt and pay. I left no
tip due to the horrendous service provided and wrote a note on the back
telling the server if she was so worried about losing her job then this
waa not the place for her to work and to please start quoting policy not
just saying she will get fired for serving a 58 year old woman a
margarita. So we go to leave and my mom and I stop to use the restroom and
we come out the respective restrooms and I see the waitress talking to my
husband the waitress sees me and tells me "sir, you need to tip me! And
you better be nicer to your servers" take note I only ever saw her twice
when she took drink orders and when she brought the bill. I brushed it off
and go to walk away with my family when a manager Kathleen comes up to me
and blocks me from leaving and very rudely yells at me saying "you need to
tip my server! You cannot write a letter to my servers and you better
understand our policy" then she shoved my receipt at me very forcefully
when I asked what was her policy she yelled at me and still blocked me
from leaving "don't be stupid, you know we have to ID for alcohol, it's
state law." When I tried to speak to her because she would not let me
speak The manager Kathleen said "you will not talk over me! We don't serve
faggots here! I'm getting security to remove you" note through all of this
I was calm, cool, and collective. I called and spoke to a manager named
Christine the next day who said the usual "That doesn't sound like <insert
name>" as that's the normal business repsonse. Then she offered me 5 and
theatre tickets and was going to speak to the general manager. This was
August 8th.... I called back September 19th to follow up and spoke with
another manager a male manager this time who said I would see the tickets
via email. It is now October 8th, 2 months later and I have yet to hear
anything. The last I checked if you don't work for your money you don't
get paid anf gratuity is an incentive for you to do better. Not something
that I am forced to pay. The service and experience was horrible and quite
negative all the way around!
