What the hell is wrong with parents and school officials these days?
Laws that target school bullies? What ever happened to the good old
days where a good fist to the face was enough to back-down any bully?
The problem with children these days is that they never learn to deal
with life's adversities on their own; always looking for mommy and
daddy to butt in. What happens when they grow older is they expect
government to handle all their problems. This is how liberals are made.
I say "Let kids be kids, leave them alone".

(Columbia-AP) December 4, 2006 - A new state law that takes effect the
first of the year requires all 85 South Carolina school districts to
define bullying and outline procedures to track and punish students who
are bullies.
The push for the law can be traced back to a 1999 school shooting in
Colorado. Investigators have said the students who went on a shooting
rampage at Columbine High School were victims of bullying.
State Representative Ronnie Townsend says the Safe School Climate Act
gives "teeth" to school policies and defines bullying to include
behavior that has not traditionally been covered by discipline
policies. The law also directs schools to track intimidation or
incidents in which a student inflicts emotional pain on another student.
