PermalinkSky News host Peta Credlin says the by-elections over the weekend are
the first good news the Victorian Liberal Party has had for a long
time.
Labor's primary vote plummeted by more than 16 per cent in Saturday's
by-election in the outer western Melbourne seat of Werribee which had
been a stronghold for the party.
The Libs winning back Prahran should be a reminder that you don't
need to out-green the Greens, or out-teal the Teals to hold onto leafy
seats because the new Liberal Leader Brad Battin is not the lefty that
John Pesutto was, Ms Credlin said.
Meaning the results on the weekend confirm that replacing Pesutto was
the right move and so too was bringing western suburbs local Moira
Deeming back into the fold.
